Cito Aleksej Remizov in “A spasso sui cornicioni”:

CAULIFLOWER CLOUDS

“Cauliflower clouds” is a collection of songs and poems, my first book,  and hopefully not last, especially because many works in it are connected to painful moments of my life. They do belong to me, but they are not the whole. Since they were first written, time has changed many things, among them the therapeutic urgency of its draft and the exclusion of some compositions . Every single work has its own destiny, its own time. Couldn’t be otherwise. If I thought now about writing a book, it wouldn’t certainly sound like “Cauliflower clouds”. Not really because I’m not happy with it, not at all! But rather because things change. Simply and luckly.

Let me quote Aleksej Remizov who wrote “Walking on cornices”:
- It is possible, or rather probable, that everything I have written is valueless, doomed to leave no mark- M E A N I N G L E S S, but after all this is a risk run by whoever decides to be a writer!- but anytime I was writing, I had the impression of doing something important for myself, and I wanted to remain in this world just to accomplish what I had started. No matter what.
And to me that’s exactly how it worked.
